Flavor Profile

Mango White Claw is controversial: some people hate it, but some people think it’s easily the best flavor White Claw offers. If you liked Natural Light’s Aloha Beaches (their peach mango flavor), you will love Mango White Claw. It is crisp and refreshing, and the smell is very appealing. It is not as true to flavor as Ruby Grapefruit White Claw, but it is leagues more authentic than Raspberry White Claw. Like all mango drinks, it is a little on the sweet side (about as sweet as mango lassi), but what sets this mango seltzer apart from others is its acidity. It is tart enough to tone down the sugar, and with a little more tartness it could appeal more to people who prefer a drier seltzer.

Drinkability

At 5%, you can drink all White Claw seltzers all day long. What’s the catch? You’ll be pretty turnt by the end of the day. For day drinking, a seltzer in the low 4% range is much more reasonable. Because of the mild flavor and aftertaste, the more of these you drink, the easier they go down.

Recommendations

Drink Mango White Claw by itself or with rum for a playful Rum Rickey. It doesn’t have enough flavor to cover up vodka, so it that is your spirit of choice swap this seltzer out for a different mango seltzer. It mixes well with other mild hard seltzers, particularly Natural Lime White Claw and Natural Light’s Aloha Beaches.

An Excellent Choice

The flavor and drinkability of Mango White Claw are top-notch. The price and hangover cost are a little less appealing, but not enough to take away from what is ultimately an excellent beverage. If you don’t like sweet seltzers, don’t buy a 6-pack before trying it, but do try one if the opportunity arises. The perfect version of this seltzer has 10-20% less alcohol and 5-20% more citric acid.
