Flavor Profile

Raspberry White Claw is not the brand’s finest showing. Raspberry seltzers are tougher than citrus flavors for a couple reasons, but the main thing is that we all know what raspberries taste like, and this ain’t it. Some people have developed an affinity for artificial raspberry flavoring (or “blue flavor”), but many of us find it intolerable. If you love it, absolutely try this flavor, but if you have never liked raspberry-flavored anything that didn’t contain fresh or frozen raspberries, skip this flavor. At HardSeltzerReviews.com, we aren’t snobs; we will 100% crush a couple of these bad boys at a barbecue. However, we tend to find that they’re the last flavor left in the cooler after a weekend of day-drinking. If you love this flavor, let your friends know, because you just might find yourself the recipient of unwanted Raspberry White Claws every now and again.

Drinkability

At 5%, you can drink all White Claw seltzers all day long. What’s the catch? You’ll be pretty turnt by the end of the day. For day drinking, a seltzer in the low 4% range is much more reasonable. Because of the mild flavor and aftertaste, the more of these you drink, the easier they go down.

Though this flavor isn’t the best White Claw has to offer, after a couple-two-tree cans it’s hard to taste the difference. They’re just as easy to slug down as any other flavor later in the eventing.

Recommendations

Drink Raspberry White Claw by itself or with your spirit of choice for an extra boozy raspberry well drink. If vodka is your clear spirit of choice, make sure to serve it over ice to avoid overwhelming your nose. It will blend right in as the base for a tequila or whiskey and soda.

An Excellent Choice

The flavor and drinkability of Ruby Grapefruit White Claw are top-notch. The price and hangover cost are a little less appealing, but not enough to take away from what is ultimately an excellent beverage. The perfect version of this seltzer has 10-20% less alcohol and 50-100% less sugar.
