Flavor Profile

Peach is neither exotic nor exciting, but it’s a flavor I order frequently. It’s hard to mess up; it tastes the same no matter what the peach flavor is flavoring. Vive’s Peach spiked sparkling water tastes exactly like you expect it to, for better or worse. If you like peach flavored things, you’ll like this.

Vives tend to be heavier on the flavor than expected, and peach is no exception, but the true candy peach flavor delivers. It has a bit of a lingering sugary aftertaste, but you get used to it after a few sips. The bubbles in this one feel really big and light and it’s really pleasant.

Drinkability

It's lighter than the similarly-flavored Natty Light Aloha Beaches in pretty much every way, so if you’re looking for an alternative that’s a touchy less boozy and a smidge less sweet, this is a great option. I like a dry seltzer, and this is still a little bit sweet for me to crush all day long, but I drank the single can pretty quickly. I’ll attribute the sweetness to the fact that peaches are inherently sweet.

Price

Vive brand seltzers are relatively new, so it’s tough to say what pricing will be like as they travel farther from the source and as their production gains economies of scale. Given that Braxton Brewing Company is very close to our HQ and Vive is new, here is the HardSeltzerReviews.com price index estimate:

Dive Bar

  • $3-5 for a 12 oz. can

Bar/Restaurant

  • $4-6 for a 12 oz. can

  • $5 at Braxton Brewing Co.

Store

  • $18 for a 12-pack of 12 oz. cans

Recommendations

This is a super versatile flavor, great alone or as a mixer. Peach and bourbon is one of my favorite combos, and the tiniest (and I mean tiny) splash of bourbon over iced peach Vive was actually, surprisingly, not awful, albeit still a bit on the sweet side. The bourbon does seem to neutralize the sticky sweet aftertaste, though. It’s the kind of thing I’d drink exclusively while at home alone. It’s not a bad way to stretch out a can of Vive and make it last a bit longer.

Peachy Keen on this Flavor

What you see is what you get with Vive’s Peach hard seltzer. It’s true to expectation. It might not break any barriers or change any minds, but this seltzer delivers exactly what it promises, which is refreshing in its own way.
